Abu Dhabi developer Aldar Properties reported a net profit of Dh7.1 billion for the first nine months of 2026, up 19 per cent year-on-year, in results released this week that highlighted the strength of its increasingly diversified business beyond pure home sales.

Revenue for the nine-month period climbed 11 per cent to Dh26.2 billion, while third-quarter revenue alone rose 16 per cent to Dh9.3 billion. EBITDA grew 21 per cent to Dh6.1 billion, and earnings per share increased 20 per cent to Dh0.77.

New development sales, however, told a different story. Group sales fell 34 per cent over the nine months to Dh18.9 billion, with UAE sales down 46 per cent to Dh14.4 billion. Notably, overseas and expatriate buyers accounted for 78 per cent of that domestic figure — Dh11.3 billion worth of purchases — underscoring how much of Aldar's UAE pipeline now depends on international demand.

The company's revenue backlog stood at Dh71.6 billion, with 89 per cent of it tied to UAE projects. Aldar handed over nearly 2,000 homes during the period — more than double its total for all of 2025 — and launched 12 new projects so far this year, including seven in the third quarter alone.

International operations added further momentum: Egyptian subsidiary SODIC posted nine-month sales of Dh3 billion, a 99 per cent increase, while UK-based London Square recorded sales of Dh1.4 billion, up 177 per cent, alongside revenue of Dh978 million.
