China Securities, the Beijing-headquartered investment bank, has opened a new regional office in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), marking another step in its international expansion strategy.
The new office has been licensed by the DIFC Authority and is authorised by the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA). According to the company, the office will support China Securities' work with clients, investors and financial institutions across the region while strengthening links between Chinese, UAE and broader international capital markets.
With this move, China Securities becomes the ninth Chinese financial institution to establish a presence in DIFC. Figures shared alongside the announcement show that China's five largest banks already account for more than 30 per cent of total assets in DIFC's banking and capital markets sector, underlining the growing weight of Chinese capital in Dubai's financial hub.
China Securities operates across equity and debt capital markets, investment banking, asset management and institutional services. The bank's expansion into Dubai reflects a broader pattern of Chinese financial institutions using DIFC as a base to serve clients across the Middle East, drawn by the emirate's geographic position and developed financial infrastructure.
The opening reinforces Dubai's status as a magnet for global financial institutions, with DIFC continuing to attract major banks and asset managers seeking a foothold connecting East and West.
