Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has brought good news for aviation enthusiasts by planning to hire between 2,500 to 3,000 people annually as part of its fleet expansion. The company intends to add 20 aircraft to its fleet each year and expects to hire 3,200 new employees by 2025. This decision follows a successful hiring year in 2025, during which over 3,200 new employees joined the Etihad family.
Etihad Airways CEO, Antonoaldo Neves, announced that the company is committed to maintaining this hiring trend in the coming years. "We will continue to expand our fleet while also focusing on hiring and promoting talent internally."
The company also takes pride in the diversity of its workforce, which represents 152 nationalities. Recruitment for frontline positions, including cabin crew and pilots, remains a priority. Last year, Etihad hired approximately 1,600 cabin crew members and nearly 400 pilots, while promoting around 1,500 of its staff.
Etihad is also focused on developing Emirati talent through cadet pilot programs and leadership initiatives. With the expansion of its fleet and increased hiring, the company aims to create job opportunities and strengthen its position in the global aviation industry.
