The ninth edition of Forex Expo Dubai took place on September 22-23 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, spanning Halls 1 through 5, with organisers reporting more than 16,000 attendees on the opening day alone.

Now recognised as one of the world's largest gatherings for the online trading and forex industry, this year's expo brought together more than 270 companies spanning brokerages, fintech firms and trading platforms. Exhibitors travelled from across the globe to showcase products, network with industry peers, and take part in specialised panel discussions.

Paul Dawalibi, chief executive of organiser Innovation City, took part in one of the event's keynote sessions, discussing Dubai's growing role in the global fintech landscape. The strong turnout this year coincides with Dubai's recent ranking as the world's top fintech location according to the Global Financial Centres Index.

Organisers say the steady growth of the expo across nine editions reflects Dubai's rising status as a regional and global hub for finance and technology-driven businesses. The heavy footfall from both visitors and international companies at this year's edition further cements Dubai's reputation as a preferred host for major economic and financial events.
