Organisers of Emirates Dubai 7s have announced the first big names for this year's music programme, with former Spice Girls singer Melanie C and DJ Jax Jones set to perform on the Beats on 2 stage. Billed as the Middle East's largest sports and entertainment festival, the event runs from November 27 to 29 at The Sevens Stadium in Dubai and will officially open World Rugby's HSBC SVNS 2027 season. Melanie C takes the stage on Saturday, November 28, with Jax Jones following on Sunday, November 29. Melanie C, a mainstay of 1990s pop, recently wrapped her fifth year performing at Pacha Ibiza, while Jax Jones, who rose to prominence in 2014, has racked up more than 60 million single sales and 9 billion streams across his career. Beyond the music programme, this year's festival will again host amateur competitions across rugby, netball, cricket, padel and WODON3 fitness, with Gaelic football added to the lineup for the first time. Three-day general admission passes start at Dh595, with family passes priced at Dh1,136; children under 15 enter free. The festival falls over the UAE National Day holiday and coincides with the final weekend of the Dubai Fitness Challenge, a scheduling overlap organisers expect will draw strong crowds from both regional fans and international visitors looking for a packed weekend of sport and live entertainment in the city.
