Andrew Lloyd Webber's long-running musical The Phantom of the Opera will stage its first-ever Abu Dhabi run, with 13 performances scheduled at Etihad Arena on Yas Island from March 10 to 28, 2027.

Based on Gaston Leroux's 1910 novel, the musical first opened in London's West End in 1986, meaning the Abu Dhabi engagement coincides with its 40th anniversary. The book is by Charles Hart with additional lyrics by Richard Stilgoe, and the original production was directed by Harold Prince.

Ticket prices are reported to start from AED 240, though full pricing and on-sale details had not been finalised as of early October 2026. Further details on casting and performance schedules are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

The run adds to a growing list of major international theatre and musical productions staged at Etihad Arena, a venue better known for hosting concerts and large sporting events. Abu Dhabi has been steadily building its reputation as a regional hub for performing arts by attracting high-profile West End and Broadway productions.

Theatre fans will need to wait for the official announcement on ticket sales and the full show schedule.
