Starting from October 1, 2025, the use or charging of power banks during flights with Emirates Airlines will no longer be permitted. However, passengers may still bring one power bank into the aircraft cabin, provided that it is in their cabin baggage and not placed in checked baggage. According to the new regulations, the maximum allowable capacity for power banks is 100 watt-hours (Wh), and the capacity must be clearly marked on the device. Additionally, the power bank must be kept in a carry-on bag or in the seat pocket, and it is not permitted to place it in the overhead lockers. Furthermore, charging a mobile phone or any other device with a power bank during the flight is prohibited, and passengers are not allowed to charge the power bank itself. These new measures are intended to reduce potential risks associated with lithium batteries and enhance flight safety.
