The project, with an investment of 10 billion dirhams, begins its first phase with 140,000 square meters of new space, which includes permanent exhibition halls and flexible pavilions. Upon completion of this expansion, DEC will be able to accommodate 50,000 visitors simultaneously. This expansion is part of a broader plan to transform DEC into the largest exhibition center in the region by 2031. Events such as Gulfood Global and the World Health Exhibition, recognized as key events, will be held at this center in early 2026. The new design aims to enhance visitor flow and experience, incorporating features such as temporary pavilions and outdoor terraces. Access to this center is conveniently provided through metro stations and a dedicated shuttle fleet. DWTC, in collaboration with the Dubai Transport Authority, has implemented a comprehensive program for security and mobility during events.
