Dubai Municipality has completed more than 107 infrastructure and public projects worth a combined Dh1.6 billion during 2026, according to the Public Facilities Agency, a body under the municipality. Of the total investment, 36 percent went toward beach development, including works at Al Mamzar Beaches, while 22 percent was directed to urban beautification, landscaping and agricultural initiatives across the emirate. Completed projects include upgrades to school infrastructure, the construction of neighbourhood majlises for community gatherings, the Hewi Dubai project in Nad Al Sheba, and new neighbourhood parks. A portion of the investment was also channelled into Dubai's rural and countryside areas, extending public-service improvements beyond the city centre. Bader Anwahi, chief executive of the Public Facilities Agency at Dubai Municipality, said the value of public infrastructure is measured not only by what is built but by how it improves people's everyday lives. He added that beyond completing the 107-plus projects, the agency has worked to strengthen quality and operational performance, and intends to expand its focus from recreational spaces toward essential infrastructure that supports Dubai's growing population and new neighbourhoods. The projects form part of Dubai's broader strategy to improve residents' quality of life and ensure balanced development across both urban and rural districts of the emirate.
