The Digital School, one of the initiatives of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Foundation, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education of the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq, announced a new plan to train and empower 10,000 digital teachers. This program is designed to enhance the digital teaching skills of male and female teachers in the region through an advanced training program conducted in partnership with the University of Arizona in the United States. This initiative marks a new phase of strategic collaboration between the Digital School and the Ministry of Education of Kurdistan, built upon the success of the first phase, which was supported by "Dubai Cares." In the first phase, 2,400 digital teachers were trained and certified, paving the way for the expansion to 10,000 teachers. Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, and Chairman of the Board of the Digital School, emphasized that the digital empowerment of teachers is one of the main focuses of the Digital School's initiatives. He added that these initiatives aim to support communities with forward-looking learning models that enable students to acquire knowledge and benefit from digital capabilities. With this initiative, the Digital School seeks to transform educational methods in Kurdistan, hoping that by training teachers, the quality of education and learning in schools in the region will improve. This training program provides teachers with the necessary tools to teach in innovative and effective ways, helping them confront new challenges in today's digital world.
