Sharjah Police have broken up an international money-laundering and cybercrime network, arresting 33 suspects of 12 nationalities in an operation codenamed "End of the Battle" that also foiled a plot to murder a digital-asset holder.

Major General Omar Ahmad Abu Al Zoud, Director General of Criminal Investigations and Border Security at Sharjah Police, said officers intervened before the suspects could carry out the planned killing, preventing a string of violent acts linked to the case.

Investigators say the operation uncovered roughly Dh65 billion in assets tied to more than 30 companies and institutions worldwide, with about Dh8.825 billion identified as suspected laundered funds. Police seized more than Dh200 million in cash, 17 luxury cars, 29 watches, jewellery and several properties during raids connected to the case.

Four separate criminal networks were dismantled in the crackdown. Members are accused of hacking and digital-wallet theft, online fraud, extortion, kidnapping, a murder plot and violent intimidation.

The case ranks among the largest cybercrime and money-laundering operations uncovered in the UAE in recent years, underscoring Sharjah Police's growing cooperation with international partners in tracing cross-border financial networks. Authorities said the investigation continues as they work to identify any remaining members of the networks.
