According to gulfnews.com, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai has created a remarkable transformation in the traffic flow of the Al Warqa area with the completion of roadworks on Al Warqa 1 Street. This project, which covers nearly 7 kilometers from Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road to Ras Al Khor Road, has improved traffic flow by up to 30% by converting four roundabouts into signalized intersections. These changes have not only helped reduce traffic but also included the construction of a 6.6-kilometer stormwater drainage network and the installation of 324 street lighting poles. Additionally, by adding 111 parking spaces and creating 41,000 square meters of pedestrian pathways, the safety and accessibility for pedestrians have significantly increased. The RTA also noted that this project is based on previous upgrades made in June 2025. These upgrades included traffic improvements on Street 13 and the creation of new entry and exit points for better connectivity of Al Warqa to Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road. Furthermore, additional infrastructure projects in Al Warqa 3 and 4 are underway, which include road resurfacing, pedestrian pathways, and parking facilities. Last October, the RTA also held a meeting with residents of Mirdif and Al Warqa to provide information about future transport projects, including the Dubai Metro Blue Line. These developments have not only impacted the daily lives of residents but have also instilled a sense of hope and satisfaction among them.
