The Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre (ADPHC) and health technology company Ultrahuman Healthcare have launched a two-year partnership to develop and validate a new "Biological Health Age" model, designed to estimate how fast a person's body is actually ageing rather than relying on chronological age alone. The model draws on clinical biomarker data combined with information from wearable devices, examining cardiovascular health, sleep quality, metabolism and recovery to build a personalised picture of an individual's health trajectory. The stated goal of the collaboration is to enable earlier intervention and prevention for age-related conditions, before clinical symptoms become apparent. Both parties said health data gathered through the initiative will remain stored within Abu Dhabi, under confidentiality and privacy safeguards consistent with the emirate's data protection framework. Dr Rashed Obaid Alsuwaidi of ADPHC said understanding how populations age, and identifying the factors that influence healthy longevity, are essential components of the broader shift toward predictive and preventive public health. Mohit Kumar of Ultrahuman said the project would combine continuous health monitoring with Abu Dhabi's existing healthcare infrastructure to support more proactive care. the model remains in development and scientific validation, and no public launch date has yet been set. The initiative is being positioned as part of Abu Dhabi's wider push to turn individual health data into a tool for broader disease prevention across its population, rather than a stand-alone consumer product.
