Dubai Municipality has announced the completion of 107 urban development projects in 2026, with a combined value of Dh1.6 billion. According to the authority, 36 per cent of this investment went toward beach development and upgrades, while another 22 per cent was directed at landscaping and city beautification work.
Bader Al Nawahi, CEO of the Public Facilities Agency at Dubai Municipality, said the value of public infrastructure is measured not only by what gets built, but by how it improves people's everyday lives. He added that completing more than 107 projects worth Dh1.6 billion demonstrates the scale of the programme and the municipality's commitment to accelerating delivery.
Officials said the projects have also created more than 100 new investment opportunities tied to public facilities, opening the door for greater private-sector participation in the city's future development.
The announcement comes amid a broader wave of construction activity across Dubai in 2026, following separate reports that the value of completed real estate projects in the city rose 52 per cent in the first half of the year. Dubai Municipality said investment in beaches and public spaces remains part of a long-term strategy to improve residents' quality of life and draw more visitors, with further projects expected to roll out in the coming months.
