American boxer Jake Paul has learned the identity of his next opponent: French combat sports star Cédric Doumbé, a two-time former GLORY welterweight kickboxing champion, who will face him at Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai on Thursday, December 24. The bout will be contested over eight rounds at cruiserweight (200lbs), with 10-ounce gloves.

Paul, who turned professional in 2020, currently holds a record of 12 wins and two losses. His fights have consistently drawn massive audiences: his November 2024 bout with Mike Tyson pulled in 125 million Live+1 viewers globally on Netflix, while his December 2025 fight against Anthony Joshua attracted 33 million viewers.

"Cédric was calling me out two years ago after knocking some dude out in nine seconds. Well, now you get your chance," Paul said of the matchup. Doumbé responded in kind: "Jake Paul calls himself the Problem Child, but he's never faced a problem like me."

Doumbé, born in Cameroon and raised in France, carries a kickboxing record of 75 wins, seven losses and one draw with 45 knockouts, alongside six MMA victories and an unbeaten 1-0 record in professional boxing. The fight adds to Dubai's growing calendar of high-profile combat sports events.
