The revamped Abu Dhabi T10 league, set to run from November 7 to 20, 2026, at Zayed Cricket Stadium, returns this year under a new ownership structure and with a heavy presence of Pakistani and Caribbean talent. The tournament is now run under the Abu Dhabi Cricket and Sports Hub (ADCSH), and of the previous six franchises, only UAE Bulls has been retained, with five new owners joining the league. Organisers say the overhaul is designed to build a longer-term ownership model, allowing franchises to grow beyond the short tournament window and develop their own identities and fan bases rather than resetting each season. Six teams will compete this year: Yas Lions, Royal Desert Champions, Arabian Aces, Emirates Eagles, United Tigers and UAE Bulls. The player pool includes 15 Pakistani cricketers, among them Naseem Shah, Shadab Khan, Iftikhar Ahmed and Fakhar Zaman, who has been named United Tigers' icon player; also on the list is Mohammad Amir, now qualified to play for England. Pakistan's representation significantly exceeds that of the rival ILT20 competition, which fields only five Pakistani players this season, underlining T10's increasingly international approach to recruitment. Caribbean cricket is represented through four icon picks: Kieron Pollard for UAE Bulls, Jason Holder for Yas Lions, Nicholas Pooran for Royal Desert Champions and Rovman Powell for Emirates Eagles. Organisers hope the combination of star power and a more sustainable ownership structure will help cement Abu Dhabi T10 as one of the most consistent and well-attended short-format cricket leagues on the global calendar.
