Coop is a small oriental fast-food spot on Qmasha Street in JVC's District 12, built around two things: chicken shawarma and broasted chicken. The sign over the door promises the best shawarma in town, and the menu backs the claim with range rather than slogans — a regular or large wrap, Arabic shawarma plates, a shawarma pie baked in tannour bread with cheese and mushroom, a 'Francisco' shawarma in samoon bread, and half-kilo and one-kilo trays served with bread, sauces and pickles. The other half of the menu is fried and broasted chicken: four- and eight-piece broasted meals, crispy strips, drumsticks, escalope, shish tawook and a grilled chicken breast plate, each with garlic, spicy sauce, pickles and your choice of bread. Children get a nuggets meal with fries and juice. Sandwiches such as the Zinger, Supreme, Fajita and Chicken Sub fill the gap between the two, alongside kibbeh, fattoush and combo meals that pair Arabic shawarma with kibbeh and a drink. The dining room is compact — wooden tables, metal chairs and an exposed-brick wall — and a large screen at the entrance shows the shawarma spit.
