Dubai-based developer Sobha Realty has announced a $600 million investment plan to enter the US housing market, with its initial focus on the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area in Texas, specifically the cities of Celina and Frisco. The company plans to later expand into Houston, Austin, Nashville, Phoenix and Florida.

Under the plan, the first phase of home sales in Celina is set to begin in 2027, with the overall development rolled out across five phases over the next five years. Sobha Realty intends to build roughly 700 single-family homes in the area, with the first phase comprising 34 homes priced between $1 million and $1.5 million. The company holds a total of 105 hectares of land in the region, 64 hectares in Celina and 41 in Frisco.

Vipin Das, CEO of Sobha Realty US, said the company is well positioned within a corridor of growth, noting that development in Frisco and Plano is extending further out toward Celina.

Known for its large-scale projects in Dubai, Sobha Realty is also expanding into Australia, having acquired land in Brisbane and the Gold Coast, where construction is likewise expected to begin in 2027. The moves are part of a broader push by the developer to diversify its operations beyond the UAE market.
