According to gulfnews.com, Kabir Khan, the 5-year-old violin prodigy from Dubai, shone remarkably at the UAE Youth Music Festival 2025. This first-year student from Repton Al Barsha impressed the judges with his outstanding performance and won the Encore Award. Kabir astonished children twice his age with his violin playing and performed alongside competitors aged 10 to 15 as the youngest participant in the festival.
Kabir's passion for music began at 18 months, and he quickly advanced in the world of violin. By the age of three, he passed his first exam and is now preparing for the ABRSM Grade 5. At four years old, he performed his first concerto with the UAE Youth Symphony Orchestra at the Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Library.
Kabir, who is a member of the UAE National Youth Orchestra, will also perform at the Dubai Opera on December 7. His repertoire includes challenging concertos by renowned composers, played on a 1/4 size violin with a maturity beyond his years.
In addition to music, Kabir is very active in sports, regularly practicing gymnastics and athletics. He also fills his weekly schedule with football, cricket, jiu-jitsu, and swimming. With three to four hours of violin practice each day, Kabir has established an exemplary balance between art and sport. He says, "I love playing the violin and enjoy practicing. I like to perform for my friends at school."
