The UAE's Fuel Price Committee has announced new petrol and diesel prices for October, showing a sharp rise compared with September, effective from October 1, 2026.
Under the new pricing, Super 98 petrol rose from Dh3.80 to Dh4.40 per litre, an increase of about 15.8 per cent. Special 95 climbed from Dh3.69 to Dh4.28 per litre, up roughly 16 per cent, while E-Plus 91 saw the steepest jump, rising from Dh3.61 to Dh4.21 per litre, an increase of about 16.6 per cent. Diesel prices rose from Dh4.30 to Dh4.80 per litre, marking an increase of around 11.6 per cent.
The Fuel Price Committee said the adjustments were made under the UAE's monthly pricing mechanism, which tracks movements in global energy markets while also factoring in local market conditions.
The increase will be felt directly by drivers across the UAE. According to published calculations, filling a 60-litre tank with diesel now costs residents roughly Dh124.80 more than it did under February's rates.
The jump comes amid renewed volatility in global oil markets, and is likely to add pressure to transport costs and household budgets for UAE residents in the months ahead.
