The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates has announced the launch of a set of special consular services for holders of the Golden Visa. This initiative is designed to support long-term residents and Emirati investors abroad and includes assistance in emergencies, repatriation of deceased individuals, and facilitation of administrative matters.
Dr. Abdullah bin Teimour, Director-General of Consular Affairs at the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated in an interview with the official Emirates News Agency (WAM):
> “The Golden Visa is a symbol of trust and mutual cooperation between the UAE government and global investors. With the launch of these new services, we ensure that holders of this visa receive full consular support wherever they are in the world.”
According to the official announcement, a 24-hour hotline has been activated for Golden Visa holders to contact support teams and receive immediate assistance during crises, natural disasters, or travel issues. The dedicated contact number for this center is as follows:
📞 +971 2493 1133
Bin Teimour added:
> “This response center not only provides advisory and emergency services but can also issue electronic return documents for nationals in urgent situations to expedite their return to the UAE.”
He also emphasized that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has established a special mechanism for the transfer of deceased individuals and for following up on family matters through the official UAE representations, ensuring that citizens and Golden Visa holders feel supported even in the most challenging circumstances.
The Golden Visa, first introduced in 2019, offers long-term residency of 5 to 10 years in the UAE without the need for a sponsor, allowing holders to live, work, and study in the country.
