According to gulfnews.com, as the start of the 2025–2026 academic year approaches, schools in the UAE are preparing to welcome over one million students. Among them, more than 25,000 new students will join public schools for the first time. This day, Monday, August 25, marks a milestone for students and teachers returning to classrooms after the summer break.
Public and private schools across the UAE are holding welcome ceremonies for students as they finalize their preparations. Educational, administrative, and technical staff returned to their duties last week, and since then, efforts have been underway to create a warm and welcoming environment in schools.
In this context, more than 23,000 teachers and administrators participated in a professional development program organized by the Ministry of Education. This program included nearly 170 hours of training and 110 specialized workshops aimed at improving the quality of teaching practices and preparing staff for the new academic year.
The Ministry of Education has also announced a field monitoring program for private schools. This program is designed to ensure compliance with the teaching of the Arabic language and Islamic education. Engineer Mohammed Al Qasimi, Deputy Minister of Education, emphasized that these measures will help strengthen national identity and Emirati values from the early stages of education.
It is hoped that with these efforts, the new academic year will be filled with learning, growth, and success for all students. For more images and additional information, please refer to the source of the news.
