According to the executive regulations of the 1404 budget law, Iranians residing abroad can import one new or used passenger car up to 5 years old this year. Based on the executive regulations for the import of passenger cars as specified in clause (r) of Note 1 of the single article of the 1404 national budget law, Iranians living abroad are allowed to import vehicles. According to these regulations, the import of personal passenger cars by Iranians abroad (holding residency cards) for each Iranian in 1404 will follow the process outlined below. A) Iranians abroad who hold Iranian nationality and have residency outside the country, as defined in Article 1002 of the Civil Code, must be at least 18 years old and have begun their residency outside the country by the date of the announcement of the resolution on 1404/3/21. Their residency must be confirmed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with at least one day of residency in 1404. B) Permanent officials of all military and governmental agencies abroad until 1404/12/29, as determined by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 2- The registration of orders from this source will be possible until 1404/12/29. 3- The vehicles purchased fall under the category of non-currency transfer procedures. The registration of orders for these individuals will only be conducted as a non-currency transfer from the source of clause 9 of Article 38 of the executive regulations of the Export and Import Regulations Law. The mechanism for registering orders for vehicles purchased after the date of the resolution, except for government officials, will be implemented from their own foreign currency accounts and others after coordination with the Central Bank. 4- According to clause 5 of resolution number 20750 T 63777 H dated 1404/2/10 by the Council of Ministers, imports from the source of their own and others' deposited currency, with confirmation of the currency source by the banking network, and imports under Article 38 of the executive regulations of the Export and Import Regulations Law are not subject to the related currency quota regulations. 5- The application process for eligible individuals will be conducted through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs system, and at the time of order registration, it will be systemically verified by the Comprehensive Trade System from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 6- The permitted brands and models of passenger cars will be announced by the Ministry of Industry, Mine, and Trade. 7- The registration of new and used passenger cars up to a maximum of 5 years old is permitted. 8- The import of vehicles by eligible individuals is limited to one car only.
