The Dubai Land Department (DLD) has held the fourth edition of its "Real Estate Day for Emirati Employment", unveiling more than 400 new job openings in the property sector for UAE nationals. More than 80 real estate companies took part in the event to connect Emirati job seekers with available positions.

Organisers said a total of 2,100 jobs have been created for Emiratis in the sector since 2023. Real estate remains one of the pillars of Dubai's economy: in the first half of 2026, total property transaction value reached Dh111 billion, a 52 per cent jump compared with the same period last year, while the number of projects rose 38.7 per cent compared with 2025. So far in 2026, 104 property projects have been completed.

In the first quarter of 2026 alone, the real estate sector grew 3.1 per cent year-on-year and generated Dh26 billion in gross value added, accounting for 11.2 per cent of Dubai's total GDP for the quarter.

Majid Saqr Al Marri, CEO of the Real Estate Registration Sector at the Dubai Land Department, said at the event: "DLD is playing a big role in supporting the real estate sector and putting all strategic partners together on the academic side and the business side and bringing the best opportunities to Emiratis."

The initiative is part of Dubai's broader push to boost Emirati participation in the private sector, particularly in its booming property industry.
