Apple has officially accredited the UAE's Coders HQ as an authorised education training centre, opening the door for its members to tap into the tech giant's global training network. Coders HQ, launched in 2022 under the directives of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, already partners with more than 40 companies including Adnoc, Microsoft, Meta, IBM and Dell Technologies. Under the new accreditation, local developers gain direct access to Swift programming resources and workshops covering app design, development and testing, alongside collaboration opportunities with Apple's international trainers. Apple says its App Store now hosts over 2.17 million apps and has paid out more than $550 billion to its 60 million registered developers worldwide since 2008. Abdulrahman Al Mahmoud, director of the UAE Artificial Intelligence Office, said a competitive digital economy starts with people equipped to embrace emerging technologies. The move is part of Dubai's broader push to position itself as a global hub for software and app development, with joint training sessions between Apple and Coders HQ expected in the coming months. The accreditation follows a wider trend of major technology firms deepening ties with Dubai's digital ecosystem, reinforcing the emirate's ambitions as a regional innovation centre.
